Redpath tyres is the only Michelin accredited vulcanised repair centre in Scotland. During the early 80’s we realised there were a massive amount of tyres being scrapped due to their injuries being too large for conventional repairs. We started vulcanising on a small scale at our Wooler branch which proved very successful and from there we shifted it to our Duns branch where we had more space and could have more technicians on the job.
In 2007 we moved into a purpose built repair facility just along the road from our Duns branch. This included a large autoclave where the repaired tyres go to be cured at their final stage, massively increase the volume of tyres repaired in a day. From there we received our Michelin accreditation which has grown our major repair business through bus/coach contracts and large quarries.
